For the best results, pre and post care for your peel is very important.
Be sure to consider the following when setting up your appointment:
- 1 week before your peel, discontinue use of prescription retinoids, waxing, tweezing or depilatories.
- 3 days prior to your treatment, discontinue use of over the counter retinoids, topical acne products, AHA’s, brightening products, and hydroquinone.

Just what I was looking for: small studio, private attentive consultation for a first facial experience with them. Sky was terrific. I have sensitive skin, and the facial was gentle, thorough and effective. Lovely warm, welcoming and comforting atmosphere; no pressure sales of products, although will recommend if you ask. Convenient location and parking. I will definitely be back and requesting Sky! Found them through Spafinder. Excellent value.

I can not say enough great things about this place! I am so glad that I found this hidden gem. I have had facials at different places through the years and this is definitely one of the best. I had such a great experience! Sky did my facial and she did such an amazing job. Every time she was applying something new to my face she would let me know what it was, and to let her know if it reacted in a bad way then she would take it off and try something else. By the end of it I was so relaxed I practically fell asleep! Will definitely be booking with her again!

I received a SpaFinder gift card for my birthday and chose to use it at Alternative Skincare and Wellness and I am happy I did. Stephanie has a such a warm and inviting energy. On top of that, her office/spa is lovely.
I opted for a customized facial since this was my first visit. I left feeling relaxed and my skin was super hydrated and glowy.
Stephanie was also very knowledgeable about products that are harmful to skin and what ingredients we need to avoid. This was super helpful to me.

I don't think I have EVER gone to a place that provided me with so much care and attentiveness. From the minute you walk in, Stephanie gives you 100% of her undivided attention. She was so knowledgeable, not only about skin care, but about health, what is happening in and around us that may be affecting us and so much more. I live an hour away, but I am going to go back with my two teenage girls. I cannot recommend her and Alternative Skincare and Wellness enough!

I will start off by saying that I have been doing thorough research of spas to go to where organic products, a clean approach, and holistic practice is an important part of their service. After reviewing various businesses, I found Alternative Skincare and Wellness. I read through their website, looked at their available services, gave the business a call with some questions I had and decided to book an appointment. And WOW, am I glad I did. As soon as I walked into this day spa, Stephanie greeted me with the warmest smile and positive attitude. She introduced herself, walked me through the spa, explained what we would be doing, and we got started with my appointment. Stephanie is such a knowledgeable, educational, and thorough esthetician. She made sure we went through anything and everything. She asked about my concerns and while providing the service she made sure to take them into consideration. I cannot express how much of a phenomenal experience this first facial was for me. Stephanie is INCREDIBLE and AMAZING at what she does. I had the most wonderful experience with Stephanie. It was very relaxing and calming. The place is very clean and smells great! It puts me in a Zen. Stephanie is very sweet , professional and amazing in what she does. My skin felt great after my facial and the products she uses just tells you that she cares , gentle on your skin as well as good for the environment. I’m looking forward to my next facial/ microdermabrasion with her.
